IKEA Kids Dresser – Any wardrobe can be used for a new baby, although it does not seem to work with the rest of the baby’s decoration. Sideboards can be decorated and re-used to suit the needs of a nursery. A sideboard that you already have or one that you have purchased used is all you need. Once installed in your room, the cabinet can either be decorated specifically for use in the nursery or in a more classical way so that it can be used as the child grows.
Give the commode a face wash with the paint. Sand the dresser lightly, paint it with a primer and then add layers of paint in a color or colors complementary to the decoration of the nursery. For added interest, decorate the top of the dresser drawer and be faced with themed template designs. Finish with a layer of sealant.
Convert the upper part of the dresser to a changing table by placing a thick change platform on it. As an added security measure, add a riveting edge to trim around the top of the dresser and paint it. Never leave a child alone at any exchange desk. Organize small items of your baby’s clothes inside decorative boxes placed in the drawers. This additional organization will keep small shoes, socks and other items of clothing mixed. Use empty drawers to store diapers, wipes and first aid items.
